The Tarot of the 7 Sacred Weeks is a practice that I have developed over many years, encompassing my experience with the Tarot as a powerful tool for self-knowledge and guidance.
I am Angelo Piovesan, and I deeply believe that the Tarot is a divinatory resource - not for predicting the future, but for illuminating paths and providing guidance regarding the energies that occur and the trends that make up our life's journey.
Each card and each reading offers us a clearer vision of life itself, preparing us to live with fullness and awareness.
Every year-end, during the “7 Sacred Weeks”, I am authorized by the spiritual plane to perform the Annual Tarot Mandala, a special tarot reading that offers a guide for the year ahead.
How about finding out how this tool can transform your life?
The annual Tarot mandala and its purpose for the coming year
The Annual Tarot Mandala - with purposes and concepts that apply to any year we are experiencing - is a way of mapping out the energies that will guide each month, acting as a compass for those who want to prepare for the new year with serenity and clarity.
Each year, this mandala can be made in the period starting at the end of November and running until the beginning of January, which is called the “7 Sacred Weeks.” These weeks are marked by intense energies of love, peace and goodwill, which are renewed every year, starting with the lunar change before Thanksgiving and ending with the lunar change after Three Kings Day.
Why do the annual mandala at this time?
Because this season connects us with a universal energy of brotherhood and compassion, which allows the Tarot's messages to be delivered with greater clarity and impact, full of hope and positive energies.
I believe that this special time of the year helps to create a favorable energy field so that we can deepen and align ourselves with the cycles of life, receiving valuable guidance for each stage throughout the year that is about to begin.
The Tarot, through the annual mandala, offers us answers and guidance to face challenges, strengthen what is already positive and improve areas that require more attention.
The period of the 7 Sacred Weeks: a time of intensified energies
The “7 Sacred Weeks” are no coincidence. The period from late November to early January marks a cycle of renewal in many cultures.
It begins with Thanksgiving in the western hemisphere and, above all, Thanksgiving in the United States, bringing a moment of deep gratitude and family reunion. Even those who can't be together at Christmas usually get together at Thanksgiving, an event that, for many, is even more important than Christmas.
We then move on to Christmas and New Year's Eve, ending with Three Kings' Day, celebrated on January 6, when many Orthodox Christian countries, such as Russia, exchange gifts and celebrate the birth of Jesus.
It is also no coincidence that the first of January is celebrated as Universal Brotherhood Day, or the Day of Universal Peace.
This whole sequence of special dates vibrates to the tune of the universal energies of goodness, bliss, unity and peace. That's exactly why this period was chosen by my spiritual guides as the most favorable to perform the annual Tarot mandala.
I believe that at this time of the year, the energies of love and goodwill are closer to our planet, touching people's hearts in a very special way. Naturally, this favors a deep and accurate reading of the Tarot.
Origin of the Tarot: a tool for self-knowledge over the centuries
Before we delve into reading the Tarot of the 7 Sacred Weeks, I think it would be interesting to talk a little more about the origins of this tool.
The origin of the Tarot is fascinating and full of meanings. Its history dates back to the 15th century, when it appeared in Italy as an aristocratic card game called tarocchi, which we know today as Tarot.
The first famous deck, the Visconti-Sforza, had no connection with the occult, serving only as entertainment for the Italian nobility.
It wasn't until the end of the 18th century, with the flourishing of European esoterism, that the Tarot came to be seen in a different light. Intellectuals such as Jean-Baptiste Alliette (better known as Etteilla) began to study the cards as symbols of a spiritual journey, a path to self-knowledge.
Over time, the Tarot has incorporated influences from the Kabbalah and Hermeticism, becoming a tool that explores the depths of the human being.
Nowadays, I see Tarot as a valuable tool for reflection. It offers a broad view about life, a divinatory tool that points to the potential of each situation and guides us to make more conscious decisions in line with our purpose in life.
The Annual Tarot Mandala and its energy for the New Year
The Annual Tarot Mandala is a work that I do with the purpose of bringing clarity and guidance throughout the year, from January to December.
Each card selected represents the main energy, the “tone” of that specific period, helping you to understand what will be most relevant at each step of the year.
The mandala shows us both the strengths of each month and the aspects that require more care and attention, as well as practical advice that can help us get through the year more wisely and peacefully.
This type of reading is possible thanks to the spiritual guidance I receive to work within this time frame. Unlike other readings, which generally cover six months before and six months after the time of the appointment, my annual mandala covers the whole year, an even wider period of time.
Instead of looking only at the immediate present, with this annual mandala we can prepare ourselves in advance for the year to come, establishing a very comprehensive picture of the journey that is about to begin.
The meanings of the Tarot cards and their function in a reading
To understand the Tarot, it is essential to understand the meaning of the Tarot cards and their role in the reading process. In the Tarot, the cards are divided into two main groups: the Major Arcana and the Minor Arcana.
The Major Arcana are 22 cards that symbolize humanity's great spiritual and emotional journey. They represent universal archetypes and are responsible for guiding us through major transformations and life changes.
The Minor Arcana, made up of 56 cards divided into four suits (Hearts, Clubs, Spades and Diamonds), are associated with everyday challenges. These cards deal with relationships, financial challenges, health and other practical aspects of life.
The combination of the Major and Minor Arcana allows the Tarot reading to be a rich and complete reading, offering a vision that goes from the macro to the micro, from major changes to everyday situations.
In the annual mandala, the Major Arcana usually represent the most significant events, life lessons and themes that will be fundamental throughout the year. A deeper reading helps us to better understand the main issues of each month, with their lessons and opportunities.
Monthly energies and comprehensive readings
Each card in the annual mandala reflects the energies and challenges of a specific month, from January to December. This means that we can interpret the context of a given moment or period and prepare for what lies ahead. This long-term vision allows you to see more clearly how to relate to challenges and how to maximize opportunities.
By reading the monthly energies, we can see how important areas of life, such as love, health and finances, will be favored or need more attention.
Maybe, in some months, the Tarot points to the strengthening of a relationship, while in others it may indicate the need to take more care of one's health or to keep an eye on one's finances.
By understanding these energies, you can make better and more conscious decisions, in line with your life purpose and the possibilities that each phase of the year will bring.
Benefits of the Annual Mandala for the journey of self-knowledge
Performing the Annual Tarot Mandala is an act of self-knowledge. It not only guides us, but also helps us to develop a broader vision of our life, our desires and challenges.
Over the months, the mandala becomes an ally, showing direction and helping to overcome obstacles with greater clarity and confidence.
Each card, which corresponds to each of the months of the year, presents possibilities to be considered, offers options for paths to follow, a perspective you might not have seen, and this gives you a sense of peace and confidence in your own journey.
With the Tarot, I try to offer clarity on the various aspects of life's journey, helping each person to connect with their current moment and better understand their choices and challenges.
Thus, with more lucidity, it is possible to make more conscious decisions in all areas of life, leading to a fuller and more harmonious life experience.
Getting ready for the New Year with fullness and clarity
So that you can live the coming year with more plenitude and wisdom, I invite you to enter this journey of self-knowledge and transformation with the Annual Tarot Mandala.
